Trey Barker is a litigation paralegal at The Abt Law Firm, LLC, where he works alongside the firm’s attorneys and staff in support of clients facing criminal charges throughout Georgia. As part of a practice dedicated to criminal defense, Trey contributes to the preparation, organization, and day-to-day work required to help the firm provide responsive and thorough representation to its clients.
At Abt Law, Trey has gained firsthand experience with the demands of criminal defense and the importance of careful preparation at every stage of a case. He understands that clients often come to the firm during one of the most stressful periods of their lives and that effective representation requires not only attention to the legal issues involved, but also responsiveness, discretion, and attention to detail.
Working alongside a team focused exclusively on criminal defense, Trey shares Abt Law’s commitment to approaching every matter with urgency and preparation. Trey graduated from Georgia State University with a bachelor's degree in political science. His academic experience, together with his growing exposure to the legal profession, strengthened his interest in the law and provided a foundation for his work in a fast-paced criminal defense practice.
In Trey's spare time, he volunteers for the Georgia State Model United Nations Board and helps organize the GSU Model UN Conference every November. Trey enjoys going to Hawks games when he is off the clock.
