For the past three decades Mr. Cossio has represented clients facing serious criminal charges and catastrophic personal injuries, accumulating hundreds of hours of courtroom experience.
Mr. Cossio’s broad background and trial experience allow him to handle each case with precision, persistence, and a focus on results. His experience covers a wide range of legal areas, including criminal defense, elder law litigation and estate development, corporate law, civil litigation, injuries, bankruptcy, and wrongful death. He has also defended medical practitioners in front of the Georgia Medical Composite Board.
He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Georgia as well as Bankruptcy Court. Mr. Cossio is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the Savannah Bar Association, and the Savannah Trial Lawyers Association.
Miguel Cossio grew up in Madison, Georgia. After he graduated from Madison’s Morgan County High School, he pursued a degree from the University of Georgia and subsequently earned his law degree from Georgia State in 2007.
Outside of the courtroom, Miguel is an avid outdoorsman, fishing enthusiast, and loves golf. He is also a champion “Axe Thrower”, holding over 13 titles over the past 4 years. He spends the majority of his time away from work with his wife, sons, and their dog, Scarlet.
